Again, David gathered4 3254 55 together all [the] chosen7 [men] of Israel, thirty thousand.
And David arose,4 and went4 with all the people that [were] with him from Baale of Judah, 3063 1184 to bring up53 from thence the ark of God, whose name is called8 by the name of the LORD of hosts that dwelleth6 [between] the cherubims.
And they set55 the ark of God upon a new cart, and brought4 it out of the house of Abinadab that [was] in Gibeah: and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drave6 the new cart.
And they brought4 it out of the house of Abinadab which [was] at Gibeah, accompanying the ark of God: and Ahio went6 before the ark.
And David and all the house of Israel played18 before the LORD on all manner of [instruments made of] fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals.
And when they came4 to Nachon's threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth4 [his hand] to the ark of God, and took hold4 of it; for the oxen shook1 [it].
And the anger of the LORD was kindled4 against Uzzah; and God smote55 him there for [his] error; and there he died4 by the ark of God.
And David was displeased,4 because the LORD had made1 a breach upon Uzzah: and he called4 the name of the place Perezuzzah to this day.
And David was afraid4 of the LORD that day, and said,4 How shall the ark of the LORD come4 to me?
So David would1 not remove53 the ark of the LORD unto him into the city of David: but David carried it aside55 into the house of Obededom the Gittite.
And the ark of the LORD continued4 in the house of Obededom the Gittite three months: and the LORD blessed17 Obededom, and all his household.
And it was told93 king David, saying,2 The LORD hath blessed14 the house of Obededom, and all that [pertaineth] unto him, because of the ark of God. So David went4 and brought up55 the ark of God from the house of Obededom into the city of David with gladness.
And it was [so], that when they that bare6 the ark of the LORD had gone1 six paces, he sacrificed4 oxen and fatlings.
And David danced47 before the LORD with all [his] might; and David [was] girded7 with a linen ephod.
So David and all the house of Israel brought up56 the ark of the LORD with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.
And as the ark of the LORD came6 into the city of David, Michal Saul's daughter looked8 through a window, and saw4 king David leaping18 and dancing47 before the LORD; and she despised4 him in her heart.
And they brought55 in the ark of the LORD, and set55 it in his place, in the midst of the tabernacle that David had pitched1 for it: and David offered55 burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD.
And as soon as David had made an end17 of offering53 burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed17 the people in the name of the LORD of hosts.
And he dealt17 among all the people, [even] among the whole multitude of Israel, as well to the women as men, to every one a cake of bread, and a good piece [of flesh], and a flagon [of wine]. So all the people departed4 every one to his house.
Then David returned4 to bless15 his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out4 to meet2 David, and said,4 How glorious8 was the king of Israel to day, who uncovered8 himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly9 uncovereth9 himself!
And David said4 unto Michal, [It was] before the LORD, which chose1 me before thy father, and before all his house, to appoint15 me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel: therefore will I play14 before the LORD.
And I will yet be more vile8 than thus, and will be base in mine own sight: and of the maidservants which thou hast spoken1 of, of them shall I be had in honour.11
Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child 3206 unto the day of her death.
