The Book of Psalms

Chapter 23

1

A Psalm of David.
The LORD [is] my shepherd;6 I shall not want.4

2

He maketh me to lie down55 in green pastures: he leadeth17 me beside the still waters.

3

He restoreth34 my soul: he leadeth55 me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4

Yea, though I walk4 through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear4 no evil: for thou [art] with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort17 me.

5

Thou preparest4 a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:6 thou anointest14 my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow4 me all the days of my life: and I will dwell1 in the house of the LORD for ever. 3117
