Chapter 46

1

To the chief Musician18 for the sons of Korah, A Song upon Alamoth.
God [is] our refuge and strength, a very present8 help in trouble.

2

Therefore will not we fear,4 though the earth be removed,53 and though the mountains be carried2 into the midst of the sea;

3

[Though] the waters thereof roar4 [and] be troubled,4 [though] the mountains shake4 with the swelling thereof. Selah.

4

[There is] a river, the streams whereof shall make glad17 the city of God, the holy [place] of the tabernacles of the most High.

5

God [is] in the midst of her; she shall not be moved:11 God shall help4 her, [and that] right2 early.

6

The heathen raged,1 the kingdoms were moved:1 he uttered1 his voice, the earth melted.4

7

The LORD of hosts [is] with us; the God of Jacob [is] our refuge. Selah.

8

Come,3 behold3 the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made1 in the earth.

9

He maketh wars to cease56 unto the end of the earth; he breaketh17 the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder;14 he burneth4 the chariot in the fire.

10

Be still,54 and know3 that I [am] God: I will be exalted4 among the heathen, I will be exalted4 in the earth.

11

The LORD of hosts [is] with us; the God of Jacob [is] our refuge. Selah.
