Chapter 65

1

To the chief Musician,18 A Psalm [and] Song of David.
Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed.29

2

O thou that hearest6 prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.4

3

Iniquities 5771 prevail1 against me: [as for] our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.17

4

Blessed [is the man whom] thou choosest,4 and causest to approach17 [unto thee, that] he may dwell4 in thy courts: we shall be satisfied4 with the goodness of thy house, [even] of thy holy temple.

5

[By] terrible things12 in righteousness wilt thou answer4 us, O God of our salvation; [who art] the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off [upon] the sea:

6

Which by his strength setteth fast56 the mountains; [being] girded12 with power:

7

Which stilleth56 the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.

8

They also that dwell6 in the uttermost parts are afraid4 at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.55

9

Thou visitest1 the earth, and waterest34 it: thou greatly enrichest55 it with the river of God, [which] is full1 of water: thou preparest55 them corn, when thou hast so provided55 for it.

10

Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly:16 thou settlest15 the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft34 with showers: thou blessest17 the springing thereof.

11

Thou crownest14 the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop4 fatness.

12

They drop4 [upon] the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side.4

13

The pastures are clothed1 with flocks; the valleys also are covered over4 with corn; they shout for joy,113 they also sing.4
