The Book of Hosea

Chapter 3

1

Then said4 the LORD unto me, Go3 yet, love3 a woman beloved7 of [her] friend, yet an adulteress,18 according to the love of the LORD toward the children of Israel, who look6 to other gods, and love6 flagons of wine.

2

So I bought4 her to me for fifteen 2568 [pieces] of silver, and [for] an homer of barley, and an half homer of barley:

3

And I said4 unto her, Thou shalt abide4 for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot,4 and thou shalt not be4 for [another] man: so [will] I also [be] for thee.

4

For the children of Israel shall abide4 many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and [without] teraphim:

5

Afterward shall the children of Israel return,4 and seek14 the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear1 the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.
