Chapter 14

1

kai eidon kai idou arnion esthkoV epi to oroV siwn kai met autou ekaton tessarakonta tessareV ciliadeV ecousai to onoma tou patroV autou gegrammenon epi twn metwpwn autwn
14:1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty [and] four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.

kai hkousa fwnhn ek tou ouranou wV fwnhn udatwn pollwn kai wV fwnhn bronthV megalhV kai fwnhn hkousa kiqarwdwn kiqarizontwn en taiV kiqaraiV autwn
14:2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:

kai adousin wV wdhn kainhn enwpion tou qronou kai enwpion twn tessarwn zwwn kai twn presbuterwn kai oudeiV hdunato maqein thn wdhn ei mh ai ekaton tessarakonta tessareV ciliadeV oi hgorasmenoi apo thV ghV
14:3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred [and] forty [and] four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.

outoi eisin oi meta gunaikwn ouk emolunqhsan parqenoi gar eisin outoi eisin oi akolouqounteV tw arniw opou an upagh outoi hgorasqhsan apo twn anqrwpwn aparch tw qew kai tw arniw
14:4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, [being] the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.

kai en tw stomati autwn ouc eureqh doloV amwmoi gar eisin enwpion tou qronou tou qeou
14:5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.

kai eidon allon aggelon petwmenon en mesouranhmati econta euaggelion aiwnion euaggelisai touV katoikountaV epi thV ghV kai pan eqnoV kai fulhn kai glwssan kai laon
14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

legonta en fwnh megalh fobhqhte ton qeon kai dote autw doxan oti hlqen h wra thV krisewV autou kai proskunhsate tw poihsanti ton ouranon kai thn ghn kai qalassan kai phgaV udatwn
14:7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

kai alloV aggeloV hkolouqhsen legwn epesen epesen babulwn h poliV h megalh oti ek tou oinou tou qumou thV porneiaV authV pepotiken panta eqnh
14:8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

kai tritoV aggeloV hkolouqhsen autoiV legwn en fwnh megalh ei tiV to qhrion proskunei kai thn eikona autou kai lambanei caragma epi tou metwpou autou h epi thn ceira autou
14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive [his] mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

kai autoV pietai ek tou oinou tou qumou tou qeou tou kekerasmenou akratou en tw pothriw thV orghV autou kai basanisqhsetai en puri kai qeiw enwpion twn agiwn aggelwn kai enwpion tou arniou
14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

kai o kapnoV tou basanismou autwn anabainei eiV aiwnaV aiwnwn kai ouk ecousin anapausin hmeraV kai nuktoV oi proskunounteV to qhrion kai thn eikona autou kai ei tiV lambanei to caragma tou onomatoV autou
14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

wde upomonh twn agiwn estin wde oi throunteV taV entolaV tou qeou kai thn pistin ihsou
14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here [are] they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

kai hkousa fwnhV ek tou ouranou legoushV moi grayon makarioi oi nekroi oi en kuriw apoqnhskonteV aparti nai legei to pneuma ina anapauswntai ek twn kopwn autwn ta de erga autwn akolouqei met autwn
14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed [are] the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

kai eidon kai idou nefelh leukh kai epi thn nefelhn kaqhmenoV omoioV uiw anqrwpou ecwn epi thV kefalhV autou stefanon crusoun kai en th ceiri autou drepanon oxu
14:14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud [one] sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.

15

kai alloV aggeloV exhlqen ek tou naou krazwn en megalh fwnh tw kaqhmenw epi thV nefelhV pemyon to drepanon sou kai qerison oti hlqen soi h wra tou qerisai oti exhranqh o qerismoV thV ghV
14:15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.

kai ebalen o kaqhmenoV epi thn nefelhn to drepanon autou epi thn ghn kai eqerisqh h gh
14:16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.

17

kai alloV aggeloV exhlqen ek tou naou tou en tw ouranw ecwn kai autoV drepanon oxu
14:17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.

18

kai alloV aggeloV exhlqen ek tou qusiasthriou ecwn exousian epi tou puroV kai efwnhsen kraugh megalh tw econti to drepanon to oxu legwn pemyon sou to drepanon to oxu kai trughson touV botruaV thV ghV oti hkmasan ai stafulai authV
14:18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.

kai ebalen o aggeloV to drepanon autou eiV thn ghn kai etrughsen thn ampelon thV ghV kai ebalen eiV thn lhnon tou qumou tou qeou thn megalhn
14:19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast [it] into the great winepress of the wrath of God.

20

kai epathqh h lhnoV exw thV polewV kai exhlqen aima ek thV lhnou acri twn calinwn twn ippwn apo stadiwn ciliwn exakosiwn
14:20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand [and] six hundred furlongs.
